Come to an end

In January 11th, I saw a news on Twitter. The headline of this news was “Twins Re-Sign Carlos Correa". He has agreed to a new six-year, $200MM contract with the Twins, which does not have any opt-outs, though he will receive a full no-trade clause. In last December 13th, San Francisco Giants was agreement with him on a 13-year, $350MM contract, however this contract went bankrupt due to the condition of his right ankle. After that, In December 21th, he has agreed to join the Mets for a 12-year, $315MM contract. However, after a few days, When he underwent physical check, the Mets hired a doctor, who was the same as the San Francisco hired. Of course, the Mets also had concern about his ankle, and the Mets began to find out a compromise of the contract. But Scott Boras, who is a agent of Correa, got angry about why the Mets hired the doctor same as the San Francisco, so the formal decision ran into difficulties. In addition, the Twins joined the scramble, as a result, the last offer of the Mets was six-year, $157.5MM contract, which was half of their first offer, and the Twins showed the offer, which mentioned above. Thanks to Twins well know the condition his ankle because he played for the Twins last year, he cleared the physical check without problem, and his residue was officially decided. I think that it is poor that he could not get a big contract such as Francisco Lindor(10-year, $341MM) and Corey Seager(10-year, $325MM). But I hope that he will make the Twins stronger.
